U21 Meath Fooball Championship Final

Navan O'Mahonys 2-19
Gaeil Colmcille
0-7

Navan O'Mahonys proved too strong for Gaeil Colmcille in the Coolrite Refrigeration Under 21 FC final at Pairc Tailteann on Saturday evening. 12 Nov 2011

Navan O’Mahonys pulled away from the start after beating the favourites Donaghmore/Ashbourne in the semi-final after extra time.
By the end nine different players were on the scoresheet for the latest holders of the Joey McKeown Cup, with the impressive Alan Forde scoring 4 point from play.
O'Mahonys had 1-3 on the board before Seanie Curran got Gaeil Colmcille off the mark in the 12th minute. Cathal Symth and Jake Regan were performing well as they scored 0-4 and 0-3 respectively, while Darragh Smyth recorded 1-2. The Navan-side went on to lead by 1-8 to 0-3 at the break.
Gaeil Colmcille’s keeper John Skelly kept  the scoreboard looking a bit more respectable with many fine saves. While Danny McGovern was scoring for Gaeil Colmcille up the other end and sent over Gaeil Colmcille’s final three points of the game.
For O'Mahaonys, the presence of Conor Finnegan at full-back and goalkeeper Jack Walsh ensured Gaeil Colmcille made little headway in the scoring department.
