 I see that Rathnew played St Mary's in the Wicklow County Final this weekend 13 Nov 2011.

St Mary's Coolkenno/ Shillelagh won out in the end by a sigle point. The Wickloe final had been delayed to alllow Leighton Glynn to play for Ireland under in Australia in the International Rules series that Ireland won. St Mary's Coolkenno/ Shillelagh formed year for  their first campaign. Interestingly their manager was Karl O'Dwyer son of Mick O'Dwyer the outgoing Wicklow Manager. Also Rathnew was managed by Harry murphy for the last time as he is  the incoming Wicklow manager.
Other counties including Meath could amalgamate some of their teams to inprove standards. Look what St Mary's Coolkenno/ Shillelagh achieved.

St Mary's Coolkenno/ Shillelagh play Portlaoise (Laois) the next weekend 20 Nov 2011 in the All Ireland Club Championship.
