Giles and ex-Tipp boss Evans boost Meath
TREVOR Giles is the latest to join the Meath back-room team as Seamus McEnaney seeks to re-energise the camp in the build-up to the championship.
Giles will come aboard as the forwards' coach
while former Tipperary manager John Evanss will
also bring his experience to the Meath camp as they prepare for their Leinsterr
championship opener against Wicklow on May 27.
Evans quit
Tipperary after their defeat by Sligo in Division 3 on March 18. He led
Tipperary to successive league promotions in 2008 and 2009, and also managed
them to a first Munster U-21
title in 2010.
It is understood that Evans has not yet met the Meath players but will do so this weekend.
McEnaney has persuaded forward ace Joe Sheridan to return from Boston to strengthen his side and it is understood that Peadar Byrne has also been recalled to the playing panel in the past week
