seven points at the break, but Derry turned the game around in the second half.
Derry scored
six points in the first eight minutes of the second half.
Derry lost
centre-back Brendan Rogers to a black card
Meath had
led until the 68th minute, when Derry got a goal with substitute Niall Loughlin with a low ball past Meath’s Paddy O'Rourke.
Derry played
the last few minutes with 14 men using all their subs after Conor McAtamney's
dismissal with a black card.
Meath’s
manager Mick O'Dowd stepped down after four years in charge.
